Refractive Subspecialty Day Meeting

Refractive Subspecialty Day provides meeting attendees with the latest information on refractive surgical procedures through a two-day course that provides a comprehensive update of the leading edge in refractive surgery, with an emphasis on managing and avoiding complications.

The target audience for Subspecialty Day is refractive surgeons and comprehensive ophthalmologists who are performing refractive surgery and allied health personnel who are assisting with the surgery.

Cosponsored Meetings

ISRS/AAO actively supports refractive surgery educational events around the world through cosponsor meeting agreements with other ophthalmic societies. These agreements include ISRS/AAO’s participation in the society’s meeting through a course or symposium. These items allow the ISRS/AAO to disseminate the concepts of excellence and ethical behavior, increase professional skills and share technological developments in refractive surgery worldwide. ISRS/AAO lends its name, logo and promotional assistance to the hosting society.

The target audience for ISRS/AAO courses/symposia held during Cosponsored Meetings is refractive surgeons, comprehensive ophthalmologists and allied health personnel who are performing or assisting with refractive surgery.

Each of the above ISRS/AAO meetings will enable attendees to:

  • Compare balanced information on the latest techniques, devices, drugs and innovations on cataract, refractive and corneal surgery.
  • Describe how to recognize, manage, and avoid complications of refractive, cataract and corneal surgery.
  • Describe and demonstrate details of surgical technique that can facilitate achievement of improved outcomes in patients undergoing refractive, cataract and corneal surgery.
